Grain air separator

Working Principle of Grain Air Separator
The grain air separator adopts the specific gravity and wind separation principle.
It uses the difference in weight, density and air resistance between full grain seeds, shriveled grains, dust, straw, chaff and light impurities.
When raw grain falls evenly from the hopper into the airflow channel, the fan produces a stable horizontal air flow:
- Full and plump grains have high density and heavy weight, which are hardly blown by the wind, and fall vertically to the good grain outlet.
- Shriveled seeds, broken grains and grass seeds are lighter; they are blown a longer distance and separated into the impurity outlet.
- Dust, chaff and tiny light debris are the lightest, directly blown out and discharged as dust.
Most models combine air winnowing with vibrating sieve screening. It removes light impurities by wind first, then grades grains by size through mesh screens. The air volume and wind direction are adjustable to adapt to wheat, corn, rice, soybean, rapeseed and other grains for high-efficiency cleaning and impurity removal.
